Corelle dishes are pretty tough things as dishes go, but they are not quite truly unbreakable. Tonight I managed to shatter a Corelle plate and it was rather unexpectedly spectacular (and annoying). At least it will be easy to replace. Plain white is practical as I don't need to match some 'retired' pattern.
