Pet Chemicals

I was at a store a few days ago and while wandering through the aisles in search of the right section I noticed a sign: Pet Chemicals. I think this was for fish or such. But it struck me as amusing as I pondered what a pet chemical might be, and who might have what.
Would you have a pet chemical? What would it be? Something simple, such as an element, like iron or aluminum, or a common compound, such as water or salt (sodium chloride)? Maybe something just a bit different, but not too much so, like potassium chloride? Something a bit more reactive, such as sodium hydroxide? Or something rather exotic, possibly with a bunch of benzene rings?
It's not a song...
15 January 2007 22:10There's a set of questions going around LJ which includes "What song is stuck in your head right now?" I don't have a song stuck in my head at the moment.
I've got something else stuck in my mind for no reason I can work out. A chemical, or at least one of the names of a chemical. For a while now, I've had benzopyridine going through my mind. Why? I don't know. Maybe it just sounds neat (I like chemical names. Yes, really.) and that could be why I still have benzopyridine going through my mind rather than quinoline which is the preferred name nowadays.
