A quip about hair
20 June 2003 12:35I'm not doing the Friday Five thing, but all the posts of it did remind me a quip I overheard at Rosenthorne. One fellow was asked if his hair was naturally wavy or curly or if he had a "permanent." Evidently he asked if the gal asking did and she said yes. He replied, "No, you have a temporary. I have a permanent." This struck me as being a good answer that points out how a common term is, really, not correct. Also it is an answer I mean to use myself when the need occurs.
