The Burning Question
23 June 2005 08:50Every time the flag burning amendment comes up I think of a Johnny Carson bit where someone started a question with, "If my wife was cooking a flag and accidentally burned it..." and then I think of Independence Day fireworks displays with pyrotechnics burning in a flag pattern. I'd say more about how silly the whole thing is, but
rillifane has already said it better.
While I find flag burning offensive, that is all it is. I think it says more about the protesters than whatever cause they claim to have when they do it.
