I have a need, or at least a use, for a picture of a jar[1] of Folgers. I do not have a jar of Folgers or I'd just take the picture myself. I also don't have any use for Folgers beyond the image[2], so it doesn't make sense for me to buy a jar if I can avoid it. The image is for the ACME Delivery web site. I am asking for photo if anyone is able and willing to take such as I want to be sure I won't have any copyright issues. That's why just snagging something that Google Images comes up with is out. The photographer will be properly credited. I can add such text to the image since I'll be editing it anyway, as I'll probably need to crop and re-size it.

Anyone have the ability and the interest?

[1] Jar preferred, but another Folgers container will do.
[2] I almost never drink coffee at home, and when I do, [livejournal.com profile] jmaynard has a nice Flavia system that makes a cup at a time.

While I was getting the MFF 2006 photos into shape I realized I hadn't done anything with my RCFM 2006 photos. I used a larger, lower resolution digital camera for RCFM than I had access to for MFF. I'm not sure, but the size might have contributed to my taking far fewer pictures at RCFM this year than I tend to. I took more with a film camera earlier.

While there aren't that many images overall and fewer turned out well enough to put on the web, I did spend some time tweaking the Python programs I use to generate the html files. The next time things should be much smoother, though certainly not completely automatic.

Here are my RCFM 2006 photos. And I also now have an Index of FurMeets, such as it is.

I now have photos from Midwest FurFest 2006 up here. I tried to identify those in the photos but I was not always successful. Even the higher resolution original images don't always show a name tag and I simply don't recall everyone.

I could easily have spent more time editing and processing the images, but I only tweaked a few images when they seemed to really need it. I've posted to the [livejournal.com profile] midwest_furfest and offered to make the originals available to those in them.

Dealing with the html files was much easier this year than last, even if I have about three times as many. The reason? Python. And I've only just scratched the surface of Python, so I'm rather impressed and quite pleased.

As I am away from home for Thanksgiving I haven't been sorting through my photos. I have had a chance to look through some other photos and Orvan has appeared in a few. This one is probably evidence that someone (alas I do not know who) thinks he is cute. And then this photo is probably the best I've seen showing the "Eat candy not cattle" sign. If I do something like that again, I'll need to get a different container so that the sign on it photographs better. I have seen too many photos that only show "eat not" or "candy cattle" neither of which makes very much sense.

I've scanned in three rolls of film worth of photos. There are a couple photos on a fourth roll but I haven't used much of that roll yet. The scans aren't great, with oversaturation where there is white fur or such, but they do exist. I've cobbled up a little photo gallery for these MFF 2005 photographs for folks to peruse. I'm sure more than a few of these photos can also be used for a "what a photographer should not do" lesson.

I do mean that offer listed at the top of the index page. If you're in a photo and want a print, I can and will send it (or them) to you. I won't ask for you to make your address public here. Send me an e-mail or something.

There are several photos of [livejournal.com profile] altivo and [livejournal.com profile] fayfox amongst others.

I have yet to scan and edit most of the photos from last weekend. One photo, however, just had to be scanned right away. The timing of the shot was ideal, which is to say I was lucky enough to take the picture just then.

RST must like the photo, since it's now up on their site: Shattock loves Burkhart.
