Rocket City, Here I Come... Eventually.

Talked things over with jmaynard this weekend and came to a decision or two. I'm going to Rocket City FurMeet. He's going to the new Des Moines Renaissance Faire. Since it's just me going to RCFM, I'll be driving there rather than mucking about with the continually dwindling joys of commercial air travel and car rental. Also, kinkyturtle and I will be sharing a hotel room/suite to our mutual financial advantage.

Okkay, now that I've decided to go to RCFM, is there anything I should know about Huntsville or about driving there from southern Minnesota? Besides keeping on the lookout for silly felines like jugularjaguar once there, that is. Also, any suggestions for my checklist so I don't forget anything important?

My con checklists include things like camera, film, water, toiletries, any needed medications, painkillers and other medicines that might be useful... and things like sketchbooks and art supplies that probably wouldn't apply to you. :}

(Although many people carry sketchbooks for other people to draw in, even if they themselves can't draw; it's a fun way to meet people and build up a personal collection of art.)

That makes the assumption that I'd be going. Such a thing is rather doubtful, at least right now.
