LJ spell-check stupidity

This has been bugging me for a while now. LJ's spell-check is evidently incapable of dealing with contractions. For example, it squawks about doesn not being a word when it encounters the words doesn't. And what does it suggest to replace this?

That seems a rather odd deficiency for a spell checker. That it doesn't recognize 'Livejournal' is a bit amusing. As is the fact that it doesn't flag 'wabbit' but shouldn't it not trip over common contractions? Especially since it suggests the very things it trips over?

It flags "lj", too, which I find odd, since that's a part of some of the "custom" HTML used here..

It didn't always do that, either (or I never used contractions until then, which is just silly). It started a few months ago, and is really annoying. I also wish it would allow people to modify it for words they use frequently. For instance, my cat's name was Thena, and I would love for it not to flag it every time I mention her. There are also tons of D&D/RPG stuff and computer/jargon file/Usenet-isms which I use which I would love to add to their lexicon. Of course, since I am dyslexic I do adore the spell-checker, but yes, it's also silly that they haven't modified it to accept its own name or its own custom tags.

One thing I've also noticed -- it's ok with contractions when checking comments, but it has problems with them when checking posts. This doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
