This has been bugging me for a while now. LJ's spell-check is evidently incapable of dealing with contractions. For example, it squawks about doesn not being a word when it encounters the words doesn't. And what does it suggest to replace this?
dozen, doe sn, doe-sn, does, doest, dowsing, Downs, downs, dosing, dozens, Dons, dens, dons, Deon, dose, Dawson, Dean, Doe's, dean, dies, doe's, doers, dousing, down, design, doses, doyen, dozes, DOS, Den, Des, Don, den, doeskin, doesn't, don, dos, Rosen, dosed, Dodson, Dotson, dowse, Doreen, Desi, Donn, Dosi, dozing, dues, toes, Diena, desk, dost, Dorena, deism, deans, dins, diocesan, Dena, Dona, Dorian, dona, douse [emphasis mine]
That seems a rather odd deficiency for a spell checker. That it doesn't recognize 'Livejournal' is a bit amusing. As is the fact that it doesn't flag 'wabbit' but shouldn't it not trip over common contractions? Especially since it suggests the very things it trips over?
