Out of Time and Out of the Blue

Back in 2009 I made a poll about Canada inspired or provoked by dumbbum_comics. A few days ago the instigator finally noticed it, voted, and commented thereon. Just a bit of lag there, but such things can and do happen.

But wait, that's not all. Rather out of the blue (or black, given my normal hours...) I got an e-mail from dumbbum_comics beyond the LJ notification of votes and comments. In his/their "Copius Free Time" some artwork had been created. While that may be nothing terribly unusual for such accomplished cartoonist(s), this one was a bit unusual as it involved me. Here, have a look behind this cut:




Sort of a Zaphod Beeblebrox thing going on there. I expect I'll eventually do a bit of editing and make another journal icon from this.

Ah yes I'm familiar with dumbbum comics, every internet-knowledgeable person knows about the great works of dumbbum comics. I read somewhere that there's an agreement between them and Google to artificially lower their page rank because they don't want to break the Top 10 before Marvel.

From what I know of their time awareness you got a pretty quick reply on that poll. Over a thousand days late that's four digits and probably a record! You can teach a goat to drive a Jeep in less time than that.

I/We enjoy drawing bipeds, quadrupeds, centipedes. I/We will never draw a tripod. They come off weird in 2D. In real life too. Reminds me of my/our working chair after housing a beaver for a week against my/our better judgement. Yes in Canada beavers are everywhere; we use them as pillows, brooms, bath sponges. And none of that on purpose.

Wow, it's like I have some power that simply visiting a province ends beaver infestations. I never knew!

With great power comes great responsibility. Why haven't you visited the other provinces? I was saving it for your birthday, but I'll tell you now, since you brought it up: You have been proclaimed a hero and there's a fundraiser going on to send you on a cross-country vacation to rid us of those pesky rodents (or often confused with rodents). I'll be printing the t-shirts next weekend.
