I lived in Squirrel Hill for a year, that's the city Mister Rogers lived in. Think I saw him fleetingly once at the local Giant Eagle but I'm not certain it was him.

Funny- I couldn't answer some of these because the responses were inadequate.

There's more than one reason to dislike a neighbor other than noise issues. The reason I can't stand my next door neighbor is she's a nosy bint.

also, I couldn't answer the one about apartment living because your responses show an either/or bias. It's really all about the neighbors- not their proximity, but their behavior.

I did overlook a few things, no doubt. Fortunately I haven't had to deal with most such issues myself and that of course had an effect.

I had the same problem. My worst neighbors didn't have noise problems. They had problems with not picking up after their damned dogs and the smell would gas us to death.
