Off to the faire

I'm taking the afternoon off work so jmaynard and I can drive to Waterloo, IA and get there before it's late in the evening. Also should be able to get there before a parade (and setup?) this year.

I've decided to take a break from COLT for the weekend and so won't be hauling my laptop along. I doubt I'd get a chance to use it, with a potluck going on Saturday and possible supper plans with Concentio Agnorum tonight.

I'm being very simple and non-period (who cares! it's after hours!) for the potluck: an assortment of M&Ms. In quantities similar to, if not exceeding, those of the TaurManias. I am not planning on bring any back. If others want to take any left over, fine by me. It's cheaper for me to give 'em away than to eat 'em all myself. Of course that won't stop me from pigging out Saturday night.

Also, this will probably, again, be our one chance this year to meet the lovely and talented jmthane and wendyzski, amongst others. Never heard of them? Go visit http://www.minstrosity.com and snag an mp3 or two. Then, if you liked what you heard, order a few CDs.

I expect Jay & I will both have enough to make a few posts, probably enough for an lj-cut, when we get back. (The only sour note is that the long-delayed tights still have not arrived. Fortunately that's only an annoyance, not a disaster.) Anyway, I'm looking forward to this weekend. Huzzah!
