That's a line I heard from Pa at times and eventually heard on Laugh-In probably as part of the silliness of the Joke Wall. "What wine goes with elephant?" "With elephant, any good gray wine will do." I have now had a (Kay) Gray wine.
A while ago at The Little Cellar Wine Company in Sioux Falls
jmaynard and I picked out a few wines to try. One of the wines recommended to us or one that caught my eye at least was Schade ("shade" and not the German pronunciation which would give it a rather unfortunate meaning: shame) Kay Gray Wine. Kay Gray is the kind of grape. The wine was not gray, of course, but was a white wine. Nor did we have the wine with elephant, but instead with a chicken dish.
