The day started out nice, and keeps getting better. A faire merchant with which I placed an order in September and haven't heard from since - despite multiple messages left on an answering machine and a couple letters - finally called today. Not only am I going to get what I ordered (a pair of tights for I was actually measured, for once) but I should be getting two pair rather than just the one. I didn't ask for that - I just wanted what I ordered, and would have appreciated notification of any problems earlier - so they're certainly putting things right. If things go as claimed, I should be wearing a pair at the Waterloo faire at the end of the month. Huzzah!

[Addendum: I got only the one pair, and despite the measuring, they tend to be loose. Naturally, I will not be giving any more business to someone.]

I'm glad that business with the tights has come to a successful conclusion, bonus and all.

It reminds me that I need to order a pair myself soon, in preparation for this year's Bailingup Faire. The jodhpurs that I've been using so far have served well, I think, but after having tried a true pair of tights I'd have to say that there's no going back!

Speaking of Bailingup, I have to look into finding some overnight accommodation there for this year, as it really is too long a drive to go down and back again on the same day. We ended up being in the car longer than we spent at the faire. I'm looking forward to this solitary event on the local calendar, and want to made the most I can of it.
