Hi folks. Orvan here. I've had a few folks say that I ought to have a web page or site of my own. It seems rather odd to me. All I do is just deliver stuff, and how big of a deal is that? Bigger than I thought, I guess. But when I hear the same thing from several folks that I ought to have a web site and word gets to me that folks are telling people that I ought to have web site, or asking why I don't, well I guess I need to do something. I'm not sure what all it should include and so I'm asking you. Nothing too flashy I hope, I'm an ox after all, not a peacock or anything like that.

So, what all should a delivery ox's web site have?

well, delivery policies- what you can/will deliver and what you won't.

Heh. Obviously, a form to request pick-ups and deliveries. ;p

A picture or two of you at work. Testimonials of course. A schedule of rates?

How about Orvan's Blog? Now that has possibilities...

Hmm...

You could have things like

* An intro (who is orvan?)
* Delivery schedule (where will orvan be making deliveries?)
* Send Orvan Fan mail (contact info)
* Orvan On the Job (gallery)

Yeah...stuff like that.

A comprehensive list of shipping & handling charges, naturally.

Package tracking! :D

It would be hilarious if you parodied UPS's website.

Remember this isn't Orvan's site, it's better if it's ACME's site! With delvidery order forms/confirmation, shipping and handling, Terms of Service and of course action shots of our qualified deliverymen in ACTION!

Actually, I think it would be better to emulate FedEx's website: When it positively, absolutely has to get there, whether they wanted it or not!

Your site

I think that it would be good to do it up as if it were a going concern. If you went whole hog, it could be a lot of work, but surely there's some intermediate state where what work there is is fun--coming up with a logo, filming a "commercial", putting up testimonials, and so forth.
