Proceeding...
15 April 2003 10:07I made the changes to the COLT's title and issue index files, though just locally (so don't bother looking for the new design on the web just yet) and have pretty much decided I like the changes. There are a couple tweaks I need to make, but those will be no big deal. I think the reason I disliked in-page indexing links was that they tended to be in pages with many browser-resized graphics and thus were slow to render. I've got almost all text, so rendering speed is pretty much a non-issue.
One result of adding the in-page links for each year is that how to proceed became a bit more obvious. It just plain seems wrong to have such a link and have a year with no completed entry. So I'll be skipping around a bit, at least to get one entry for 1995 and 2001 as soon as I can manage. I'm tempted to put off using the new issue index until I have those done.
Also, I started working on the latest issue last night. If I keep doing the recent issues as they come out, then maybe at least I won't fall any further behind. And the recent issues tend to be the ones folks are interested in.
Now all I have to do is keep at it...

Date: 16 Apr 2003 03:55 (UTC)That's one of my biggest stumbling blocks! I've finally picked up the Anthrocon 2002 diary and started working on it again after eight months. I fully intend to finish it before AC '03. Hope I can...

Date: 16 Apr 2003 06:38 (UTC)And then take off for the weekend and visit my folks. I doubt I'd get anything done during that, so I'm not going to bother trying. I'll have a nice break and resume COLT work when I return. At least that's my plan right now.
