I woke up to, or rather was woken up by, the crash of thunder. That's rather unusual for late November here. I expect snow or maybe a light rain, but not lightning and thunder at this time of year.
And November 'thundersnows' can bring a lot of the white stuff, along with winds and such.
When I visited Japan the first time, my partner teacher talked about the 'thundersnows' that are actually rather common in parts of Ishikawa and north. He was surprised to find out that we occasionally have them here in the U.S. Midwest, as well.
