There was another phone call and this time a non-800 number was listed on the caller ID. The call was from a number in the 562 area code. When I answered, I got asked to help elect a certain DFL candidate. That's right, someone in California wants me to vote DFL. Sheesh.

My voicemail fielded a recording (as is usual for all unknown numbers simply because most are recordings) from 626 today. The recording identified itself as "Missourians somethingorother." As is also the case with all recordings, I was pretty fast on the draw with the "3" key to delete it, so I'm not sure exactly who was responsible for it. Sounded like a political recording.

At least Emanuel Cleaver's recording came from 816...

You sure it wasn't 636? That one is in Missouri.

(And, being right next to Minn. and getting your channels on my TV, I still hand't heard of DFL or knew that Minn.'s had their own Democratic party until a visit to my friendly neighbourhood Wiki helped understand me. (That and the acronym also stands for "Dead Fuckin' Last", wonder if there's a corelation?)

No, it was indeed 626. This week, someone's attempting to run an automated poll on me. They're calling from 703-871-0551 and claim to be someone from MO again. That number is apparently some sort of robo-caller-outer for several automated campaigns, as I've heard they're trolling SD with that number as well.
