I missed numbers 3 and 4. Not only that, I don't get where those two come from.

"Three on a match" indicates bad luck. There is some claim that was from WWI when the time it took to light cigarettes for three people on a single match was thought long enough to allow an enemy time get a good sighting at night, with predictably dire results.


On the Fourth Estate:

There's is/used to be a news like show called The Fifth Estate. I don't think I get that title...
