I'm not familiar with X-Men so I can't say I was expecting any particular result. I do find myself wondering how Rogue came into the world. Her mother must have had at least some resistance.

Mutation didn't manifest til she hit puberty.

Rogue also didn't gain the powers of flight or super-strength until she drained almost all the life out of Miss Marvel, who remains in a coma. Rogue used to be a villain until Charles Xavier saved her.

Her powers didn't manifest until puberty and she was nervously kissing her first boy....

She (at least in the first story, which has been changed at least 2 times..grr) was an orphan that was raised by Mystic. (The blue polymorphic babe.) Anyway, Mystic took on the appearance of a human to raise her so she had no idea who her foster mother was until after she stole powers from Ms Marvel and did memory damage to both of them.

You will note that this history is much different from the history given in the movie...grrrrr.
