Yet another note about RCFM

Or if not about RCFM, the time leading up to it. Now that Anthrocon is about to happen I am seeing lots of LJ posts of "Do ___; Don't ___" rule sets by individuals for others to follow at Anthrocon. Even when these are perfectly reasonable things, as they usually are, I find it grating. So it was quite refreshing to not see an outbreak of that sort of thing before RCFM. Looking back, the only post I can find about such things was my own, trying (and not succeeding, alas) to poke fun at those posts. This, to me, speaks very highly of RCFM and those who attend it.
