Wind and Water

The forecast last night was for wind and rain. We got it. Outside, the flags are flapping and snapping in the strong wind. Not the usual wind, which is sufficient reason for wind farms to sprout up around here, but a stronger, stormy wind. On my drive to work this morning the fields that were maybe a bit swampy and had puddles last night now are ponds that aspire to lakehood. If there isn't flooding yet, I won't be surprised if it does happen in some places.

Fortunately the forecast is for the rain to stop early this afternoon and for the weekend to be sunny. I hope that forecast is right.
