Timing is everything

It's snowing again. The optimistic forecast calls for only one or two inches total, the pessimistic forecast says five to nine inches by the time it's over late this afternoon or evening. This morning I heard a radio commercial, "You've been thinking about a certain green and yellow lawn tractor. Come in for a test drive today..." Yeah, this is just the day to test drive a lawn tractor, isn't it?

Yeah... Once I helped out with a radio show--for a while, it was the only regularly scheduled early music show for several states around. I dug up a lot of music to do one hour of springtime music for a show that was to air on March 21st. I put the show together, got the tape off to the station, and it indeed aired on the first day of spring... which in the listening area was a day when snow fell.

Grumble.
