The annoyances I mentioned earlier have been or are being addressed.

1. I have received word from the Penguicon folks that my registration has indeed arrived and all is in order. It will still be a while before they process the check, however.

2. RCFM room reservation details are supposed to be up on the web site in the next few days. I'll be sharing a room with kinkyturtle again after all, an arrangement which has worked well the past couple years.

3. This weekend will include a trip to Mankato to at least look at LCD monitors. I'm not planning on buying one this weekend, but if I see a good enough deal I might go for it.
