November gets serious about it.

For a while it almost didn't seem like November, being relatively warm for the month. The storm forecast for yesterday and today grazed Fairmont. There was rain in the morning, snow in the afternoon, and towards evening it started to stick. Last night it got cold (colder, for Southern types). Today I fully opened the heating (and cooling) vent I have at work, which I normally keep mostly closed. I also have a nice hot cup of herbal tea.

Tonight the forecast is for a low around 6 F. The wind is supposed to calm down some as the day goes on and tomorrow might be a pretty decent day to be on the road, which is just fine with me. jmaynard will no doubt be pleased to have missed this cold snap and be returning when the weather will at least have highs above freezing.

I think I need an LJ icon for Winter, even if it is still Fall by the calendar.

Winter indeed. First snow is here for us, though no major accumulation yet and roads are still dry. And it is damned cold.
