When Words Collide

nitrobenzene - an oily yellow liquid with an almond-like odor, primarily used in the manufacture of aniline.

Benzedrine - a trade name for amphetamine.

I like words and language. Not enough to go fully into it like some folks, but enough to play with them a bit. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes things just happen. Somehow the two items above must have collided in my mind and something new resulted. Not a sensible thing, but perhaps an amusing one, in a sort of cartoonish sense: NitroBenzedrine.

I'm worried that the glycerine that's in a lot of the artifically fruit-flavored food I eat will combine with the nitrogen in the air, form nitro-glycerine, and explode as soon as I eat it.

That's nothing! Some foods are made with grenadine syrup. And if the foods are made by hand, what do you think is in it?
