A rose is a rose is a rose?

The local Rotary club occasionally sells roses to raise money. I know this as I get e-mail at work (sent high importance, sheesh) informing me of this. The e-mails have the subject: Rotary Roses. I just got such an e-mail and upon seeing the subject thought, "But what if someone would rather have reciprocating roses?"

Rotary roses? As opposed to touch-tone roses? What if one's rose has no dial? Is an operator available to patch my call through?

Of course then there are the human powered devotees who insist that a rose come with pedals.

I don't want a reciprocating rose; the "boing, boing, boing" would keep me awake. I'd rather have a rotary rose that goes "hmmmmmmm...." (And boy, am I dating myself with this response.)

My parents owned two different Mazdas during the era of those commercials...I as rather disappointed when they traded off the RX-4 sedan, as I'd been hoping it'd get handed down to me.
