Iconology: Any ideas?

I have a permanent LJ account and with that, up to 100 user pictures. So far, I have 15. You can see them here. I've been thinking of adding a few more. It's not like I don't have the room. The problem is, what to add, and what would I use the new images for?

Yeah, I never could figure out what I'd do with 100 image slots. Eight or ten, maybe, but 100?

I certainly don't expect to use all of them, but I can certainly fill a gap or two once I discover what they are. Then there's KT with his many (http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=kinkyturtle) icons.

I'm not even all the way up to 100 yet myself! I'm choosy about what I add.

I got really confused when I was first on LJ - because I tended to identify posters by their icons, not by their names. I realized quickly that wasn't going to work. Kind of a shame, really. I love seeing a name and an image to recognise that person quickly.

So I like it when, if someone has a large icon collection, if they somehow relate. Like KT, he has a lot of KT in his icons. Or if I see Peter Jackson, I know it's probably KT

So, I'd keep any new icons full of Vakkotaury-related goodness.

That would be the ideal, I agree. I'd not mind, say, changing from 'Saturn' to a picture of Vakko(taur?) with a telescope. The only problem with that is then I need to get an artist to do make the image.

The icons of faire, demon, no harfing, orvan, and probably blue rose will stay. I'm not sure I want to appear in the icon for what I use blue rose for. And I rather like the blue rose, it seems to be right for the job.

That's why I like to be choosy, and make my own icons. I like having a lot of icons, but I want them to represent me somehow.
