That's refreshing.
31 January 2008 20:42A little while back I posted about how none of the Presidential candidates seemed like a really good idea. Since then a few have dropped out of the race. I'm still not really liking any of the bunch very much.
Earlier this evening I received a phone call from a strange number, but the number was listed on the caller ID. When I answered, there was no weird auto-dial delay and switch, but a person spoke, immediately saying which campaign he was working for. There no push-poll nonsense. Just a polite asking if I was likely to support that candidate, if I'd be at the caucuses (Minnesota does the caucus thing), and if I would be interested in volunteering for the campaign. And no pressure when I said things he might not have liked.
That's right, I actually got an honest political phone call.
I don't know if that's just this part of the campaign or if it's been commanded from on high to not do the push-poll crap. And while I'm still not really liking anyone running, this is certainly the right way to campaign with the telephone.
The call was from the Romney campaign.
