Weekend Roundup

Friday my new glasses came in. They look very much like my last glasses, but I can see a bit better through the new ones. Saturday was the oil change for the car, and having Chinese food for lunch which I haven't done in some done. Also the acquisition of stuff for RCFM and the trip to it.

Sunday I loaded the flash drives with various mp3s for the trip. I still have a few tapes and there is the radio, but most broadcast radio doesn't do much for me. With jmaynard's help I got my (now rather old) HP workstation back on the network - it wasn't broken, it just hadn't been told of the new network arrangement since we moved a few years ago. Shows how much use the machine gets. It was also set to boot to a serial console, so a monitor isn't needed. I have a nice monitor for it, but there's no room for it, really. It was a bit of an odd realization that that machine, which runs HPUX, might be the one with the slowest clock speed (50MHz) and least memory (32MB) of all my machines other than the 8-bit stuff.

I think I've been successfully adjusting my sleep schedule a bit. It'll get reset right back on Thursday or Friday, but I should be able to leave nice and early and make good use of daylight.
