T minus 4 days and counting...

While RCFM technically doesn't start until Friday, I'll be starting off for it early on Wednesday.

Though earlier than the maintenance schedule calls for, the car got an oil change today. That way the maintenance point won't happen sometime during my trip to or from Huntsville. Having looked at the drain plug and not liking what he saw, the mechanic suggested replacing it and after looking for myself I agreed. It's an inexpensive part that if it doesn't work right would result in a very expensive problem. This brings the "unexpected" maintenance cost of the car up to about... $5.00 in 97,000+ miles. I like reliability.

I've started gathering supplies for the trip and for RCFM itself. I have a few more things to get and take care of, but almost all of that can wait until Tuesday
