Intolerance and who practices it.

Today I ran smack into it. And it wasn't the big scary election winners that did it, either. It came from the other end of the spectrum.

I posted a response to something, part jokingly but mostly seriously, with a pointer to a rebuttal. Neither my post nor the rebuttal used any cursing nor, I believe, demeaning language. I was a bit surprised to find this reply disappear. Well, that's disappointing, but I suppose to be expected. Some simply do not like hearing views other than their own.

I was outraged, however, to find that my post was considered an evasion perpetrated by the rebutter, when it was no such thing. What I say here, *I* say. My reply was of my own free will. It was not so much as hinted at, let alone suggested, that I should or must make it by anyone other than my own conscience and sense of fairness. Now, I see in another post that someone thinks the rebutter was out to cheat the system when that person had exactly nothing to do with any of this.

To the person(s) who made the false accusations: You may as well add me to your "Enemies List" or what have you. It'll let me know exactly how you stand and prevent me from doing the right thing, or trying to, again.

I have been careful, thus far, to avoid names, but it should not be too difficult for an intelligent person to figure this out. Assuming, of course, a few replies and posts aren't slipped into the memory hole.
