I think you missed a potential ticky-box for Canadian moose...

"Moose, moose, I like a moose..."

Yes, yes, but what about the Sweedish Moose that once bit that gentleman's sister, eh?

It was Sweedish, therefore not Canadian.

Yep, though I did have to search out just what TLH was.

I completely forgot about that, as difficult as that might be to believe. But even if I had remembered, I doubt I'd have included. Besides, in Canada aren't the police the group most often mounted?

Some clarifications since I am the culprit behind this poll:
1. Beavers not so secretly run BC Hydro to bankruptcy.
2. Moose are defending the Emergency Shallot Reserve against beavers. Not well. Mainly because beavers have contacts in government and BC Hydro.
3. Racketball was imported from China. ACCIDENTALLY. We tried to return it but somebody discarded the original box and canada post is very strict on regulations. It's why we can't import nuclear weapons either. There is a huge reward on that original racketball box. It will show up eventually.
4. there is a fierce racquetball competition between us. Because they won't take back their lame racketball. They keep returning it. They think it's a game :( No we have no moose army, we have no human army either... I think we have some slingshots, some ice cubes here and there and I believe I have seen Perrier. We are well-defended. But we're not afraid of invaders. We are so wide and barren, there is always a place to hide. We have Saskatchewan for that.
5. Shallots are stored in the Emergency Shallot Reserve somewhere in Newfoundland. Because the entire shallot economy depends on our stock level. The location of the reserve is kept veeeery secret. Humans know about it, it's the beavers we try to keep away.
6. Moose don't polish their own antlers. Have you ever seen a Moose??? Neither have I...
7. It's only a cliche because we eat it. We should have left it where it was. We can live with sugar.
8. The Littlest Hobo is also the future of ever canadian company.
9. The poll was ghost-written by Gene Shallot..er..Shalit. OBVIOUSLY to promote himself. "Celebrities". Shameless.

ps. I don't know how you managed a poll with so few cliches. Midway I was wondering what country is this poll about. Ah nickels and dimes. We don't really say that.

I was wondering when, and even if, you'd notice this poll that you.. inspired. The poll contents were largely inspired by your request, so you can credit yourself with the lack of clichés. I had considered a question about ice, but that just seemed too hokey.

But if you wanted clichés, I suppose I could recommend the tune 'We Are the People of the Frozen North' by Spirit of the West, if one could find a copy of the thing. I do have a copy, but it was recorded on cassette tape from a shortwave broadcast (not sure if BBC or CBC any more) sometime in the mid-late 1980s.

We don't notice anything involving us, including polls, bills and legal notices. We try to avoid mirrors as well. My shrink calls it denial but I'm not listening to that.

It's weird that I missed this poll given that I look for your polls quasi-religiously. Some supernatural forces got in the way here: Chucky, the Super Armadillo, or maybe something darker... The super dark armadillo???

"I had considered a question about ice, but that just seemed too hokey."

Ice is too Vanilla for me. *c-c-c-old cold shudder* Why won't some memories go away?... :( There used to be these decent turtles I liked. Then they made a movie and despite all the cute sewers, rats and mutations, my love for the turtles was ruined forever. Kawabanga, my turtle #!!x@%@!

We need a poll about that: memories that won't go away. We give some people 15 minutes and they turn it into a lifetime of emptiness. We are too nice to them. We're all too nice.

We Are the People of the Frozen North. I haven't heard that and wasn't able to find it. I googled it and YOU came up! :) It was nice, but not what I was looking for. Does it mention beavers? (If it's just one beaver, I'll pass).
