...doesn't mean they get another thing right.

A while back I ordered some licorice spice tea from Stash. Recently I found I needn't have done that. The stuff is available in a local store. This was discovered when I went to get more of some other tea. Some other tea with caffeine in it. Something with which to start the morning. While I like black tae as iced tea, I'm not so fond of black tea as hot tea. So I bought some green tea. Since I like the licorice spice so much, I figured I'd give Stash green a try.

I've had green tea before. In fact, the caffeinated tea I was using before was a green tea, though with mint as well. I should have looked for that again. It tastes better. This green tea taste like the runoff of bad mixed vegetables. Imagine the water that would run off from a mix of corn and cauliflower. Now think of a cupful. That's it. Monday I figured it might have been from over-steeping as I had been distracted and let it steep for quite some time. Tuesday I figured I'd go with the upper end of the recommended time: 3 minutes. No good. Still tasted like cauliflower & corn runoff. Today I dropped to 2 minutes. No good. Still harfy. And it's not a subtle note, either. I just tried to cover it up with the licorice spice tea. Licorice is not exactly known for lurking in the background of flavor. It did not help. The tea still tasted of cauliflower oozings. Deee-sgusting!

So now I have, er, had (just gave it all away, I think) 17 bags of harfy tea I don't want and need to find some other morning caffeine source - or maybe see if I can just give it up.
