Actually a different Dean. And not even him, but some eager supporter thereof. An LJ-posting with bold text urgently urged, "Go see what Dem. the all powerful Selector picks for you!!"
The selector is here: http://www.selectsmart.com/president/
My results are that it doesn't pick a Dem. as most compatible. Nor even as second best. Nor even third best. In my case Bush (not a Democrat party member last I checked) came in second as around 80% compatible. And Phillip Howard of the Constitution Party came in third around 70%. But with 100% compatibility was... "Libertarian" with no specific candidate named. The most compatible (or rather, least incompatible) Dem. scored a mere 41%. Somehow I doubt that's what the Dean supporter expected.
I do wonder how the scale works. I would expect 0% on the low end, but Lyndon LaRouche falls all the way down to -15%. Aside from the curious mathematics, that bothers me not one little bit.
