Carrot is yuk.

While I do eat peas, I never actually ENJOY them. I had to pick carrots because there are forms of carrot that I can eat and enjoy.

Wait, I lied. I like snow peas a lot!

I'll still go for carrot though.

You mean they coexist evilly.

I'd have to agree with that. It's to the point that if I want fried rice uncontaminated by peas I have to make it myself.

Oh yeah, there's a reason Mr. Yuck is a pea with a face.

With lots of sorrow sauce.

Funny, I've mostly seen him with a yellow face - except here.

Odd, the old PSA for it started with "Mr. Yuck is green."

From: [identity profile] jcw-da-dmg.livejournal.com
Huh. I never saw a PSA for it.

I find this poll very difficult. I am an equal opportunity pea and carrot lover.

If you're on some form of broadband (have a lot of patience with dialup) there is a copy on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLsONa3gKIQ). And it seems I mis-remembered. That was the second sentence.

And by choosing a chemical, I mean "either." At least it wasn't types of squash, or brussels sprouts vs. sauerkraut... :o)

I had to go with carrot, I completely neglected to think of Snow Peas. Which were mentioned earlier as delicious.

To my utter surprise, I have encountered actual edible brussel sprouts. The trick was that they were baked rather than boiled.

mmm, yummy sauerkraut.

I can't handle them. I spent too many hours on the back porch getting RID of the pods to eat them!

PS I like Brussels sprouts too. And some kinds of sauerkraut. About the only vegetable I actively dislike is eggplant.

I selected "peas", but that's assuming they're frozen. Canned peas are dreadful.

The traditional British preparation method for sprouts is to boil them until it's no longer possible to count them. It should be possible for somebody in a deep coma to eat them.

I do not subscribe that that particular school of cooking and prefer my vegetables to fight back.

From: [identity profile] jmaynard.livejournal.com
That's the standard British method for any vegetable at all.

You would certainly think so from my mother's cooking. I was 21 before I discovered that leeks actually had flavour and weren't just waterlogged bags of pus.

I really do need to thank the boyfriend who showed me how food is supposed to be cooked...

I know. I'm going around filling out all the polls on your LJ. I like polls. :P

If I didn't want folks filling them out, I could close them. Have fun!
