Terms that had to replace the original.
A couple nights ago on IRC,
kinkyturtle mentioned a few of these. Not all terms have completely changed (for example, mail) but the gist is there. I've been trying to add to the list...
Term Old term Reason -------------------- ------------ ------------------------- World War One Great War WWII Hardcover book book paperback Snailmail mail e-mail AM radio radio FM Manual transmission transmission automatic transmission Manual typewriter typewriter electric typewriter Black and White TV TV color TV Conventional weapons weapons nuclear weapons, chemical?
So, what's missing from the list?
