It's snowing!

Pleasant light flurries. Nothing that'll stay around any length of time as the snowflakes are melting as soon as they hit the ground now. The annoying hot and humid weather is over for a few months.

Do you ever get snow that really sticks around? Or a good blizzard?

Yes, and yes. But usually the snow that sticks around a while doesn't happen until November or December. Blizzards are more likely November-February, but not limited to then. In 1991 there was the Halloween Blizzard, for example. As for a blizzard being good.. there is such a thing as too much. Jay will likely think it madness, but while staying due to blizzard conditions in 1996 I had My Car Won't Go cranked... it seemed appropriate - my car was in the shop just then anyway.

Yay! Snow! It was about 35F in Kansas as we were passing through it on the 16th enroute to Los Angeles.
