Missed opportunity

I don't get the popularity of pirates. I really don't. I see folks in alleged pirate garb at faires, which I sort of understand. I really don't think much of the excessive arrr-speak and have absolutely no use for the "talk like a pirate day" thing that recurs yearly like some annoying affliction. So the Pirate Hunters' Union amuses me. And now I ask myself why I didn't think of doing that.
