Where were you when the lights went out?

Now another generation may be asking that question. I was not directly affected and so will let others speak of what has happened and what is happening. One person has answered a few questions rather well, I think. Especially the third one.

The cause is still a matter of debate and likely will not be truly known for at least a few more days. However, the effect is already known.
