Just a random post, no specific trigger for this one, amazingly enough.
Yo!
Pretty much anything said after this is of no interest. If someone wants my attention, there are better ways to get it.
Listen up!
Same thing. This is a bit used more by coach types and others of petty authority on a power trip. I have no interest in paying for their trip - they can buy their own ticket for it.
People, ...
This one is condescending. It's reminiscent of a grade school teacher reprimanding a class.
Wazzup?
Need I say more? Curiously, though, 'sup? doesn't bother me. I think that's due to it being used when I was growing up so it seems normal.
mmmkay
What the? I can't quite place which negative reaction I have to this, but it is negative. If someone means "okay" then why don't they say "okay" (or "okkay")? Another curiosity, I have no problem with mbye. Probably another family thing, as "goodbye" would occasionally get (intentionally) mispronounced "goombye." I'm relating this, not explaining it.
My bad.
Your bad what? Wouldn't "oops" be shorter and less jarring? Or how about "my mistake" for more accuracy?
